Someone just described the repetition children can get into, asking “why” in response to every answer an adult gives, as a “why” loop. I like that, I like it a lot – largely because I’m guilty of it. I think some of it is simply because I’m fascinated with networks and network theory, so I tend to trace back looking for answers and causations and so on; hit the node, ask the question, trace the path, hit the node, ask the question, trace the path, hit the n…and on.
